A strange material for an umbrella
A wood umbrella sounds almost like an oxymoron. Water is often times the enemy of wood. For example, if your deck at home is not properly sealed, continuous rainfall can wreak havoc on a deck, causing cracking and warping. Having a wood umbrella may sound stylish, but in order for it to be effective it needs to be properly treated so that the handle and stem are properly sealed and water resistant. Excessive moisture on the wooden part of the umbrella may cause it to start looking like a beat up deck. That being said, dark woods create a nice contrast with light colored umbrella tops such as bright yellow, pink or magenta.
